ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Inbal Gelman. I have always had dogs and other pets when I was growing up in Israel. I especially enjoyed handling and training my dogs and found I had a natural ability for it. I moved to Los Angeles in my late 20's and the first thing I did to feel at home was adopt a young puppy from the shelter. She was a Shih Tzu mix with behavioral problems. I decided to take her to a training school near me called "Obedience Please Dog Training" to learn how the professionals handled these kind of dogs. During our second lesson, the owner and Master Trainer of the school, Howard Finkelstein, recognized my potential and offered me a job. I worked there for over 14 years learning and mastering the essential techniques of positive reinforcement obedience training.

When people ask me what breed I prefer to work with, I can't answer, because every dog has a different personality. But they are all capable of becoming loving, secure, and well behaved pets when their owners are taught effective communication skills to build that strong bond.

In 2020 I moved to New York for personal reasons, and decided to take my passion for helping dog families to the next level. I opened my own school "Obedience Please of New York" and I look forward to continue training dogs, and their owners, using the highly regarded and successful methods that I specialized in during my years in Los Angeles.
